The British Songwriting Awards website was launched to recognise and promote the new rising stars of songwriting that are discovered every year through the UK's major annual national and international songwriting contest event - The UK Songwriting Contest.
THE UKSC
UKSC is the acronym given to the long established annual UK Songwriting Contest. It is also used for the professional association and academy of "UK Songwriters and Composers" that judges that event. This prestigious event for songwriters was established in 2002 in association with The BRIT Trust (the BRIT Awards non profit organization) and other music industry partners with the mission to discover and promote new songwriting talent. It has grown into one of the world's leading, and highly regarded, international songwriting event over more han two decades receivng many thousands of song entries every year from all over the world.
